As graduates enter the workforce, employers are finding that many lack essential skills such as problem-solving, communication and collaboration. Corporate Learning Analytics Adventure

About the Project

In this project, we explored how learning analytics could be used to measure the effectiveness of training in the workplace. We developed a process to measure an organization's readiness to gather and use data to make strategic decisions for improving workplace learning initiatives. This included creating a questionnaire to assess this readiness in areas such as organizational culture, ethical issues, strategy and investment, governance, and more. Metatheory: Intellectual Productions

About the Project

Each of the intellectual productions developed for this project was aimed at exploring the past, present and future impacts of the a media ecosystem in education. Each production was developed to address a key topic, and project specifications are highlighted in each purpose statement for each production. Recommended areas of interest are the 'Remediation & Knowledge' and 'EdTechDev' productions for exploration of alternative digital learning mediums.

This competitive analysis was designed as a resource prospective investors evaluating leaders in education technologies for workplace learning. Through the lens of a venture analyst, this report evaluates the current market for rapid elearning tools. In a rapidly changing, complex workplace, such tools have become invaluable in developing learning content quickly and efficiently. Our CUBE analysis revealed that the content authoring tools segment is expected to see the largest growth in the EdTech market, making this tool a strong contender for investment. Read More

Research Critique: Organizational eLearning

About the Project

The purpose of this project was to better understand what factors are perceived to impact successful learning in the workplace using an online platform. We wanted to better understand what factors influence participation, implementation, and transfer of knowledge in eLearning and how to address training gaps. To do this, we critically analyzed a published study in this area of research. Findings showed that organizational culture and employee motivation played a key role in the success of online learning. In this thought paper, we analyzed some key questions about how knowledge is formed and transformed through a constructivist lens. How do we know something to be true? Is knowledge a transferable commodity? How do new realities shape existing truths? This project not only gave early insights into how constructivist learning theories apply to adult learning, but also how to thoughtfully analyze the content we develop to be thoughtful and concise through the limitations of the project itself.
